What you can see and do as a manager

The parts of Evenpay available to managers, and whose data you can see.

As a manager, Evenpay shows you your own team: the people who report to you and the people in the organisation units you manage. You use it mainly to propose pay changes in merit cycles and to keep your team's information up to date.

Your menu

  • Home: a welcome page with your Team members, Units managed, Pending reviews and Pending Salary Reviews, and quick links such as View my team and Open worksheets.

  • My Team: the employees you can see.

  • Team Positions: the positions in your units.

  • Compensation β†’ Worksheets: your merit cycle worksheets.

  • Compliance β†’ Policies: your organisation's pay policies, if your organisation uses them.

  • Settings: your personal settings.

Whose data you see

  • Your direct reports and everyone below them in your reporting line.

  • Everyone in the organisation units you manage, including their sub-units.

You can read profiles, pay and performance within your permitted team scope. Available pay-band information also depends on scope.

Reading is different from editing

The standard Manager role can edit permitted profile fields of direct reports, not everyone whose profile is visible. It does not grant direct editing of compensation, employee status, reporting lines or employee email. Ask an administrator to make those administrative changes.

Proposing a pay change through an assigned merit worksheet is a separate workflow, subject to the cycle's assignment and approval rules. Nobody can create, submit, approve or reject a merit proposal about their own pay. See the role and scope reference for the permissions table.

What you don't see

Organisation-wide pay equity analysis, alerts, reports, settings and other people's teams are for administrators.

Good to know

  • If your organisation has entities, you still see your own reports in another entity. They are marked Outside your entities.

  • If someone is missing from your team, ask your administrator to check their manager and organisation unit in Evenpay.

  • Your administrator decides your role. See Roles: what Administrators, Managers and Employees see in Getting started.
