Custom Fields

The Custom Fields settings page lets you extend Evenpay's data model with fields specific to your organization. Navigate there via Settings → Custom Fields.

Overview

Custom fields are additional data points you can attach to records when Evenpay's standard fields don't capture everything your organization needs. They appear alongside standard fields on the relevant record pages and can be used for tracking, filtering, and — depending on the field type — as variables in pay gap regression analysis.

Custom fields are available for six record types:

Record type

Use case

Employee

Additional attributes for individual employees beyond the standard fields

Position

Additional metadata for job positions

Job Level

Custom metadata for job levels in your career framework

Job Grade

Custom metadata for job grades

Job Family

Custom metadata for job families (functional groupings)

Organisation Unit

Custom metadata for departments and organisational units

Creating a custom field

Click + Add Field next to the relevant record type. A dialog will appear with the following options:

  • Name — the label for the field as it will appear on records (e.g. "Employee Height").
  • Description (optional) — a brief note explaining what the field represents.
  • Field Type — the type of data the field holds (see below).
  • Apply To — the record type this field will be added to (e.g. Employee, Position).

Click Create to save the field. It will then appear on all records of the selected type.
