Assigning worksheets

Decide which manager proposes increases for whom, and manage worksheets once the cycle is live.

Each manager gets a worksheet listing the employees they propose increases for. You decide how worksheets are built and can reassign people at any time.

Who can do this: Administrators.

Configure worksheets

Where: a merit cycle β†’ Settings β†’ Worksheet Configuration.

  • Group by: Direct manager, Organization unit or Employee custom field.

  • If no manager assigned (when grouping by direct manager): Group by org unit or Leave unassigned.

  • Worksheet scope: Direct reports, or Full subtree (everyone below the manager).

  • Skip top tier(s): leave out the top of the organisation, for example so executives aren't on a worksheet.

  • Worksheet columns: choose which columns managers see.

  • Submission requirements: Require comments, and justification for zero increases.

  • Show suggestions: pre-fills proposed values based on your rules.

Manage worksheets during the cycle

Where: a merit cycle β†’ Worksheets.

  • The bar at the top shows participants, budget available, average salary increase and completeness.

  • Switch between the Worksheets, Distribution and Assignments views.

  • On Assignments, use Change responsible to move employees to another manager, or Assign whole department.

  • For each manager: Adjust budget, Send worksheet email or Open worksheet.

Unassigned employees

Employees who end up without a worksheet owner (for example, no manager and Leave unassigned chosen) are listed under Unassigned, and an administrator fills in their proposals.

Managers without an account

When you launch the cycle, you can choose Invite missing managers to Evenpay. They get the Manager role. Otherwise their employees' approvals fall back to administrators.

Good to know

When an administrator opens someone else's worksheet, a banner says so. Changes made there are saved as that manager's.
