If you use more than one framework, selection rules pick the right one for each position. Evaluation rules let a framework set or limit the job level based on answers.
Who can do this: Administrators.
Framework selection rules
Where: Settings β Pay equity & transparency β Evaluation frameworks. The Framework selection rules section sits below your list of frameworks once you have at least one framework.
Select Create rule and set its conditions. You can match on Job Grade, Career Path, Job Level, Job Family, Organization Unit, or option-type custom fields.
Choose the framework that positions matching the rule should use.
Save. When someone evaluates a matching position, the framework is Assigned automatically.
Without rules, the evaluator chooses the framework (Selected manually). Use Export and Import in the section to move rules as JSON; frameworks and fields are matched by name.
Evaluation rules
Where: in the framework builder, under Evaluation rules. Save the framework first.
Evaluation rules are IF/THEN rules. For example, IF a question has a certain answer, THEN set the job level, or keep it within a range. Use them when the score alone shouldn't decide the level.
Who evaluates positions
At the bottom of the same page, Who evaluates positions has the option Managers can evaluate positions in their teams. It is off by default. Administrators can always evaluate.
Good to know
When several frameworks or selection rules are active, the Evaluation Matrix view is not available.
