Grade bands and score caps
Turn evaluation scores into grades with score bands, and limit scores with caps.

Grade bands decide which grade an evaluation score falls into. Caps limit how high a position can score.
Who can do this: Administrators.
Where: in the framework builder, under the grades and bands section.
Generate grade bands
How you generate bands depends on the framework's scale:
Points scale: generated, geometric, arithmetic, or a table you enter yourself.
Percent scale (weighted average): even, progressive, or manual.
Before you save, the band preview lists the positions whose grade would change. Check it before you apply new bands.
Score caps
Use an Evaluation cap to stop scores going above a limit. Choose the Cap Source:
a custom value;
Selected Grade;
grade-based;
Parent grade.
Good to know
Score ranges are stored on each grade. When you add a grade, Evenpay can update the ranges of every grade automatically. See Managing grades and career paths.
The top grade can be open-ended, so very high scores still land in a grade.
If a framework changes scale, positions evaluated before the change are marked Outdated and need re-evaluating.
