Evenpay keeps two kinds of pay for each employee:
Agreed pay: the pay components in the person's contract, such as base salary, bonuses and benefits. Analysis, pay bands and compa-ratio use agreed pay.
Salary history: what the person was actually paid in each payroll period.
Who can do this: people with compensation edit rights, normally Administrators.
Where: employee profile β Compensation
Edit agreed pay
In Compensation Components, add, change or remove components.
Choose the Currency if the person isn't paid in your organisation's currency.
To start from what the person was last paid, use Copy from history.
Save. The change is recorded on the History tab.
The tab also shows Agreed Total Pay, Latest Payroll Gross, Expected Band Position and Pay Comparison, which compares the person with others in the same position or doing work of equal value.
Add a salary record
In Salary History, select Add Salary Record.
Enter Period Start and Period End (both required) and the amounts.
Save. You can edit or delete a record later.
To load many records at once, see Importing salary (payroll) history. If there's no history yet, the tab shows "No salary history available" with an Import Payroll Data button.
The salary history chart
Show the chart as Breakdown or Total, view components by group or individually, and choose the last 6, 12, 24 or 36 months.
Good to know
Evenpay stores pay as monthly amounts. See How Evenpay calculates pay.
Most HR system connections update agreed pay only. Netvisor and SFTP connections can also bring in payroll data; otherwise it comes in through the salary history import.
Applying a merit cycle updates agreed pay and shows up in History with the source Merit cycle.
