The salary history import loads payroll data: what each employee was actually paid in each period. It fills the Salary History on the employee's Compensation tab.
Who can do this: Administrators.
Where: Settings β People & data β Data management β Data Import β Salary History
Your file
Each row is one pay line for one employee.
Required: Employee ID/Number and Amount.
Optional: Pay Date, Period Start, Period End, Event Date, Component/Pay Type, Quantity, Rate/Price and Currency.
Steps
Download the Template from the Salary History tile, or use your payroll export.
Upload the CSV and map the columns.
Map pay types: for each pay type in your file, choose whether to include or skip it, and which pay component it belongs to. You can create a new component here.
Review and import.
Good to know
Salary history is what was paid. Agreed pay, the contract components, is separate. See Agreed pay and salary history.
Most HR system connections bring in agreed pay only. Netvisor and SFTP connections can also bring in payroll data; otherwise use this import.
Imports accept CSV files only.
