How Evenpay calculates pay
Monthly storage, pay periods per year, one-time pay, FTE, and what counts toward totals and bands.

Knowing how Evenpay adds up pay helps you read every figure in the app the same way, from an employee's total to a pay gap.
Everything is stored monthly
Evenpay stores recurring pay as a monthly amount, whatever the payment frequency you enter.
Annual figures are the monthly amount multiplied by your organisation's Pay Periods/Year (for example 12, or 13 or 14 where holiday bonuses are paid). You set this in your work schedule. See Worksites and work schedules.
Hourly figures use the schedule's working hours. The standard is 173.33 hours a month unless your schedule says otherwise.
Agreed pay and payroll
Agreed pay is what the employee is contracted to receive, built from compensation components on their profile.
Salary history is what payroll actually paid, imported as records.
See Agreed pay and salary history.
What counts toward the total
Each salary component has two switches:
Include in Total: the component counts toward total compensation.
Include in Salary Band: the component counts when Evenpay compares pay to a pay band and calculates compa-ratio. Only recurring components can be included in pay bands.
One-time pay
One-time payments, such as a signing bonus, are kept separate. They are never spread across months or added to monthly salary.
Full-time equivalent (FTE)
Components with Apply FTE adjustment scale with the employee's working hours. A part-time employee's pay is converted to full-time so it can be compared fairly. Components set to Fixed amount regardless of FTE are not scaled.
Currencies
Employees can be paid in different currencies. Evenpay converts amounts with daily ECB exchange rates when it compares pay. See Exchange rates and multiple currencies.
Good to know
Pay equity analysis lets each scenario choose which components count toward total compensation.
How each component's value enters analysis depends on its value shape. See Value shapes: ranges, units, in-kind benefits and equity.
