The pay information report is what the employee sees when they open their secure link. Each channel decides which blocks the report contains and how pay is calculated and shown.

Who can do this: Administrators

Where: Settings β†’ Pay equity & transparency β†’ Pay information requests β†’ your channel β†’ Report Blocks

Blocks

On by default:

  • Position Summary

  • Pay Band: the employee's pay against the group median or mean

  • Salary Components

  • Pay Factors

  • Gender Comparison: monthly pay by gender, mean and median

Off by default: Position Description, Position Evaluation, Salary History, Job Grades, Company Pay Gap, Comparison Details, Pay Philosophy, Pay Rationale, Comparison Group and Personal Note.

  1. Turn blocks on or off.

  2. Drag blocks to reorder them.

  3. Select Add Note to put your own text between blocks, for example a short explanation of your pay policy.

Pay settings

  • Calculation Basis: current contractual gross salary, the last 12 months, or the last full calendar year.

  • Compensation Components: which pay components count, and whether pay is adjusted to full time.

  • Pay gap convention: use the organisation's convention or set this channel's own.

  • Report Display Period: monthly, annual or hourly.

Personal notes

When the Personal Note block is on, you can write a note for one employee on their Pay Information Request tab. It appears only in their report.

Good to know

  • Use Report Preview on an employee's Pay Information Request tab to see exactly what they will get.

  • The gender comparison is hidden when either gender is below the anonymity minimum. See Comparison groups and anonymity.

  • Showing pay factors and your pay philosophy helps employees understand the criteria behind their pay, which the Directive also requires you to make available.
