The Set Up Job Architecture wizard builds your grades, career tracks, job levels and job families in a few steps, and can sort your existing positions into them.

Who can do this: Administrators.

Where: Positions β†’ Levels. While you have no career paths or job levels yet, the tab shows an empty state with a Set Up Job Architecture button that opens the wizard.

Steps

  1. Choose the Number of Job Grades (or a Job Grades range). You can have between 1 and 30 grades.

  2. Add your Career Tracks. Each track has a name and a code. Use Add track for more.

  3. Choose whether to Initialize default job levels for each grade and track.

  4. Choose whether to Initialize default job families. If families were already detected from your data, you can choose Also add Evenpay default families on top of them.

  5. Optionally use Auto-map positions. Evenpay uses AI to place each position in a family and career track, and falls back to keyword matching. You can Undo the mapping.

Good to know

  • The wizard is only offered while the Levels tab is empty. Once you have career paths and levels, change them directly on the tab (see Managing grades and career paths).

  • If your import already defined job levels, default levels are switched off. If you choose to replace them, Evenpay asks you to confirm with Replace your job-level architecture?

  • Check the auto-mapping result before you rely on it. You can change any position's level or family afterwards.

  • To start over, Settings β†’ Organization β†’ General has Clear Structure, which deletes all grades, levels and paths. It only works once no employees, positions or pay bands remain.
