Positions are the jobs your employees hold. Each position carries the details Evenpay uses to compare pay: level, family, org unit and pay band.
Who can do this: Administrators.
Where: Positions β Overview.
Create a position
Select New Position.
Enter the Position name, for example "Senior Software Engineer".
Select Create. The position opens so you can fill in its details.
Position details
The Position Details panel holds: Position title, Position ID, Job Level, Job Family, Organization Unit (you can choose several), Contract Type, Management Position, Work Location and Pay Bands.
The position page has these tabs: Overview, Requirements, Compensation, Performance, Employees and Alerts.
Requirements and career progression
On Requirements you can add:
skills, with the required level and whether each is required or optional;
certifications;
general requirements such as education, experience and tenure;
a Next position, to show the usual next step in a career.
Required skills are used to calculate skill fit. See Skills, certificates, performance and education scales.
Views and bulk actions
List shows every position. Position Mapping shows positions on a grid of levels and grades.
Select positions to archive, restore, delete archived positions, bulk edit, or Create Job Family from them.
On a position, the Position actions menu has Export, which downloads the position as a PDF.
Archive or delete
Archive Position hides the position but keeps it and its history.
Delete Position removes it for good. If employees are assigned, Evenpay tells you how many. Remove & Delete keeps those employees but leaves them without a position.
Good to know
Positions can also be created by a CSV import. See How imports create job architecture.
To create country or seniority versions of one position, see Position variants.
