Currencies in imports

How Evenpay decides which currency each imported row is paid in.

If your employees are paid in different currencies, each row in your import can carry its own currency.

Which currency a row gets

For each row, Evenpay uses the first of these that is set:

  1. The row's own Currency cell.

  2. The default currency you set for the Currency field during the import.

  3. Your organisation's currency, or the entity's currency if your organisation uses entities.

Use three-letter currency codes such as EUR, SEK or USD. A value Evenpay doesn't recognise is stored as your organisation's currency, so check the review grid before importing.

After the import

  • Pay stays in the currency it was imported in.

  • When Evenpay compares people paid in different currencies, for example in pay equity analysis or compa-ratio, it converts with the daily exchange rates. See Exchange rates and multiple currencies.

  • The import preview shows each row's own currency.

Good to know

  • Your organisation's currency is set in Settings β†’ Organization β†’ General.

  • Evenpay never falls back to EUR on its own. If a rate is missing for a currency, figures that need it show an error instead of a guess.
