The audit log records changes made in Evenpay, with who made them and the old and new values. Use it to answer questions such as "who changed this salary?" or to show auditors how pay data is handled.
Who can do this: Administrators.
Where: sidebar β Compliance β Audit log
What is recorded
Every change to data and settings.
Sign-ins, sign-outs (with the reason: signed out, inactivity or maximum session age) and organisation switches.
Data exports, including audit log exports.
Not recorded: viewing data, marking notifications read, personal preferences and password resets.
Find an entry
The table shows Time, Event, User, Target, Category and Severity. Filter by:
category: Authentication, User Management, Data Management, Compliance, System, Reporting, Integration;
severity: Low, Medium, High, Critical;
Start Date and End Date;
entity, if your organisation uses entities.
Open an entry to see the person who made the change, the target, the Changes with before and after values, the IP Address and the User Agent.
Export the log
Set the filters for what you need.
Select Export CSV.
The export runs in the background. You get an email with a link to Settings β Organization β Audit log, where you can download the file.
The file is deleted after 7 days. Only one export can run at a time.
Set retention
In Settings β Organization β Audit log, set Keep for (days) between 30 and 3650. The default is 730 days (two years). If you shorten it, entries older than the new limit are deleted that night and can't be recovered.
Good to know
Managers don't see the audit log.
If your organisation uses entities, an entity's administrators see only their own entities' entries.
If an organisation is deleted, its audit log is kept for 30 days and then removed.
