Backups and restores
Take a snapshot of your organisation's data and restore it if something goes wrong.

Backups let you save a snapshot of your organisation's data, for example before a large import or a restructure, and go back to it if needed.
Who can do this: Administrators.
Where: Settings β Organization β Backups
Take a snapshot
Select Create snapshot.
If your organisation uses entities, choose the Scope: the whole organisation or one entity.
The snapshot appears in the list when it's ready.
Restore a snapshot
Select Restore next to the snapshot.
Read the summary of what will change.
Type RESTORE to confirm.
Before restoring, Evenpay takes a safety snapshot of your current data automatically, so you can go back if the restore wasn't what you wanted.
Download and import
Download saves a snapshot file to your computer.
Import uploads a snapshot file you downloaded earlier.
Delete removes a snapshot.
Good to know
Snapshots are kept for 90 days, and up to 20 at a time. To change these limits, contact support@evenpay.io.
A snapshot is encrypted with your organisation's own key, so it can only be imported back into the same organisation.
Restoring replaces current data with the snapshot's data. Changes made since the snapshot are lost, apart from what the safety snapshot keeps.
For entity backups, see Backups and the audit log by entity.
