An integration sync failed

Find out why an HR system sync failed, test the connection and undo a bad sync.

If a sync with your HR system fails or brings in unexpected data, you can find the cause and, if needed, undo the latest run.

Who can do this: Administrators.

Where: Settings β†’ People & data β†’ Integrations, then open the connection.

Find out what happened

  1. Open the connection's Sync History tab.

  2. Under Recent Syncs, open the failed run to see its details and log.

  3. Read the error. Common causes are expired credentials, a permission missing in the HR system, or values that couldn't be mapped.

Fix and try again

  • Select Test Connection from the actions menu to check the credentials still work.

  • Check Field Mapping and Pay code mapping if data landed in the wrong place.

  • Use Preview Run to see what a sync would change without writing anything.

  • Start the sync again with Incremental Sync, or Full Sync to re-import everything.

Undo a sync

If the latest sync made changes you don't want, select Undo Import on that run. You see what will be reverted before you confirm. See Undoing an integration sync.

Good to know

  • You're also notified in Evenpay when a sync completes or fails.

  • Only the latest completed run can be undone.

  • If you can't find the cause, email support@evenpay.io with the connection name and the time of the failed run.
