An employee's pay information link expired

What to do when an employee can't open their pay information report because the link has expired.

Pay information reports are sent as secure links that expire. When an employee opens an expired link, they see Link Expired and can't renew it themselves.

Who can do this: Administrators.

Send the report again

  1. Open the employee's profile and go to the Pay Information Request tab.

  2. Use Send Pay Information to send a new report by email.

The new link replaces any earlier links, which stop working.

If sending is blocked

Sending is blocked while the employee is within the cooldown period after their last approved request. The message tells you how many days are left. If the employee needs the report now, you can share it another way: download it with Download PDF on the same tab and deliver it securely.

Prevent it next time

  • Links are valid for 24 hours by default. Give employees more time by raising Link Expiry (hours) (1–720) in Settings → Pay equity & transparency → Pay information requests.

  • Remind employees to open the link soon after it arrives.

Good to know

  • A link also stops working if the employee's email address is changed in Evenpay.

  • Downloading the PDF shows a privacy warning, because the file contains personal pay data.
