Why are there no alerts?

The usual reasons the Alerts list is empty, and how to fix each one.

If Compliance β†’ Alerts is empty, one of these is usually the reason.

1. Your baseline isn't active yet

Evenpay only creates alerts from your live baseline. After your first analysis, go to Pay Equity and select Activate baseline. Alerts are then checked after each analysis. See Activating your baseline (why there are no alerts yet).

2. You haven't run an analysis since activating

Alerts are checked when an analysis runs. Select Run analysis on the Pay Equity page.

3. No group reaches the threshold

An alert is raised when a group's pay gap is at or above the Alert Threshold, 5% by default. If every group is below it, there's nothing to alert on. Check or change the thresholds in Settings β†’ Pay equity & transparency β†’ Pay equity alerts.

4. Groups are too small

Groups smaller than the Minimum Group Size (2 by default), or with only one gender, never raise alerts. The Work of Equal Value summary on the Overview tab shows how many groups were too small to compare.

5. Employees aren't grouped

Alerts are raised for groups of comparable employees. If employees are missing the fields used for grouping, such as job level or job family, they aren't in any group. See Work of equal value groups.

Good to know

  • Alerts are raised for groups, not individual employees.

  • A draft scenario never creates alerts until you activate it.

  • In an organisation with entities, you see the alerts for the view you've chosen in the sidebar.
