Use SFTP File Import or Mepco (SFTP) when your HR or payroll system can place files on a server for Evenpay to read.

Who can do this: Administrators.

Where: Settings β†’ People & data β†’ Integrations.

Before you start

Agree the server location, credentials, file format and intended data with your HR/payroll and IT owners. Keep credentials out of support messages and screenshots.

Configure the files

  1. Enter the server's Host, Port, Username and Password.

  2. Set File Type to CSV or XML.

  3. For CSV, set Delimiter and Has header row. For XML, set XML record root path.

  4. Select the Encoding: UTF-8, ISO-8859-1 or Windows-1252.

  5. Set Remote Path, File Pattern and Scan subdirectories to identify the intended files.

  6. Choose Data Contains: Employees, Positions and/or Salary History.

  7. Select Preview Files and check that the intended files and records are read correctly. If characters such as Γ€ or ΓΆ look wrong, review the encoding.

  8. Save the connection, then map fields and review the sync options in Managing a connection.

Check the result

The connection's Files tab lists the files Evenpay has picked up. Compare the processed data with the intended source files, including employee identifiers, pay periods and currencies, before relying on it for analysis.

Before resending files or changing file patterns, confirm the expected reprocessing behaviour with your integration owner or Evenpay support. Do not assume resending a file is a safe retry without checking how existing records will be matched.
